MGM College of Engineering & Pharmaceutical Sciences, Valanchery named after the Cochin College of Engineering & Technology. The College is managed by Geevarghese Yohannan Charitable Trust which is committed to ensure International Standards in Career Orientation. It started functioning in September 2011 with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE], New Delhi and is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The College is certified by ISO 9001:2008.

The Institution offers B.Tech. Courses in seven branches namely Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.  The vision of Institution is to develop the College as a Centre of excellence for moulding globally competent professionals, with refined attitudes, in Technology and Management. Around 100 highly qualified Faculty and Staff drawn from diverse heritages and the dedicated senior and experienced Technology Gurus form our Intellectual Wealth. The ‘Group Tutor’ and ‘mentoring’ system has proved to be effective in evaluative and corrective fields. Counseling and personal interaction are supportive systems adopted. The natural and human bond with parents adds strength to the development of the Institution. Self assessment has earned ISO accreditation for this infant in its brief and bright track.

The Institution also offers M.Tech Courses in Applied Electronics, Construction Engineering and  Management, Computer Science and Engineering and VLSI and Embedded System Design.

Along with Btech and Mtech, the institution also offers Bpharm(4 years) and Dpharm(2 years).
